Lone Star was founded by Jamie B. Coulter, who started his restaurant career as a major franchisee in the Pizza Hut chain. Separately, a company called Creative Culinary Concepts opened a prototype Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon restaurant in Winston-Salem, N .
