The Melting Pot is a chain of franchised fondue restaurants in the usa, Canada and Mexico. The Tampa, Florida based company has 167 locations as of November 2018. The contains various cheese fondues, wines, salads, entrees of meat and seafood served with dipping sauces and oil or broth to be cooked in, and chocolate fondues. It is part of Front Burner Brands.

The very first Melting Pot opened in April of 1975 in Maitland, Fla., just away from Orlando. It had been a cozy, quaint location, and its first menu was made up of just three items: Swiss cheese fondue, beef fondue along with a chocolate fondue dessert. Design – The restaurants’ interiors are made using deep red and black colors. They may be dimly lit; all seating is generally in booths, with private booths from the main room. Headquarters – Its headquarters are situated in Tampa, Florida.

An entire meal features a cheese fondue, a salad, main course along with a chocolate fondue for dessert. The four courses are offered individually or as a “4 Course Experience.” The Four Course Experience includes one of several preset entrees, one serving of cheese, one salad, and one serving of chocolate. Main classes are still fondues, but include more typical entrees of meat, poultry, pasta and seafood. The franchise also produces “special-occasion” packages for anniversaries, weddings as well as other events.
